Gourmet Timer is an easy to use kitchen timer with smart features. With four independent timers that continue to count even when the app is closed, Gourmet Timer is designed for serious use. Answer incoming calls or switch to other applications without resetting timers.
Each timer has a title to identify what’s cooking. Or just visually match each timer to a burner on your stove.
Features:
- Four individual timers with adjustable titles.
- Adjust remaining while timer is running by tapping +1 or +5 buttons.
- Set timer for up to 9 hours and 59 minutes.
- Auto-lock feature is disabled (adjustable) so timer stays visible.
Price: Just $2.99

Ae you claiming taht the timer works when I exit, and does it also wake up and ring if you are in another application? Or is it just for when phone calls come in? No reviews to go by.
Thanks

Currently, 3rd party iPhone apps cannot run in the background. Therefore Gourmet Timer must be running for the alarm to sound. What it does do is remember the timer settings. So in case you must exit and then restart the app timers will automatically continue counting down.
I’ve clarified the description in iTunes.

How can I reset the timer to zero or subtract time?
Really wish I could customize the text. I’m not a chef. I want to enter “parking meter” “prescription ready”, “Pick up Lunch”, etc

I know you say the title options cannot be modified. Will you be doing an update at some point so we can change that?

What I can say is we want to, along with some other features like iOS4 multi-tasking and universal support for both iPad and iPhone. They’re coming but I can’t commit to a timeframe just yet.
