How can I reset the timer to zero or subtract time?

Really wish I could customize the text. I'm not a chef. I want to enter "parking meter" "prescription ready", "Pick up Lunch", etc

Currently, 3rd party iPhone apps cannot run in the background. Therefore Gourmet Timer must be running for the alarm to sound. What it does do is remember the timer settings. So in case you must exit and then restart the app timers will automatically continue counting down.

I've clarified the description in iTunes.

Ae you claiming taht the timer works when I exit, and does it also wake up and ring if you are in another application? Or is it just for when phone calls come in? No reviews to go by.

Thanks
